Thanks for your comments, it certainly caused some interesting conversations and comments at Beaulieu. The paint was still drying in a couple areas on last Friday evening !
I spent every possible moment I could over the last couple of months working on her, generally a least 2 hours per night. Although complete, it still needed a new clutch, wiring loom, new brakes ( as the old ones were soaked in grease) dynamo had to be rebuilt, ( which is a right pain to get at, as you have to remove all of the primary chain drives and covers) new tyre on the front, transfers ordered, repainted. The stencils I used are 1" in size. They are a set of brass ones I picked up years ago, but they are not the usual block type numbers and letters, instead they are rather bubbly in appearence (I'm sure there is a proper name for them). I've seen quite a number of early WW2 vehicles with this style of stenciling applied, which is more in keeping with the earlier markings.
I reckon the rear rack will take longer to make than rebuilding the bike !
