Default Will bolt everything down......

.... before you get here.......

Max I am playing tricks with my cab 11. I acquired a cab 12 frame and floor...... upon closer examination my checker plate...dash and dots.... from my cab 11 is heavily rusted and in some place the pattern is almost gone.... on the other hand the cab 12 is in very good shape.

Plans are to use the large rear cab 12 section and the two front half section from the cab 11. In addition the good cab 12 floor has a 6x6 inch section cut out right over the tranny...... so I will transplant the equivalent portion from the cab 11 which by coincidence is in good shape in tha area.

Final results will be a cab 11.055 version of the cab 12....

Having examined the extra bracing of the cab 12 1/2 inch steel reinforcements, I would be silly not to use them...... that extra plate must add a significant amount of stiffness to the back wall which is only bolted on the 1/4 floor plate. Doing so will require me to use the special running board brackets of the cab 12 as the cab 11 brackets are 1/2 to high......

Again I will take the bestest parts from the cab 11 and cab 12 to make running boards that are in good shape and fits.

Someone said... not toooo long ago.... that you cannot restore one truck by itself...... you need a few more to cannibalize the best parts.

Hardly a weekend goes by that one of us 3 doesn't go running to the back field to either check on of the parts truck or get some elusive part from them.

Hang in there....

Bob
