Saturday - Brake Day
Saturday was a mixed bag of weather - warm/cool/sunny and wet. Most of the day was spent indoors working on the mysteries of master cylinders and steering mechanisms.
Bob performed an autopsy on one of his twisted steering assemblies and learned that the horn contact is a complicated little item. We didn't think of taking photos of the interior set up of the horn contact...
Grant and I decided to disassemble our respective master cylinders. His to clean, mine to determine why it wasn't working. I found a spare piece inside. A small brass ring - the same size as the one on the main cup was found. I'm guessing it was stuck to the cut and came loose after being put under pressure.
After carefully examining our Alex Blair Manuals manual, Grant and I reassembled our masters cylinders. I put mine back on the HUP but ran out of time. I'll try pressurizing the brake system on Monday morning (after sneeking out of the house at O'dark thirty tomorro morning).
