Default Crypto CMP!

This is a weird one! I have no record of a British Contract S/M 2729, and that includes the 1942 Canadian contracts listing. The absence of the "Cab" reference and the "build date" suggest to me delivery to Ford South Africa, CKD i.e. chassis only. The Engine # is a 1942 one, but the Contract number suggests late 1942 placing for 1943. As I said there is no mention of S/M 2729 in the 1942 deliveries to SA. I have therefore added the reference to my UK Ford listing. The nearest one I could find was the well-known 2721 which was for the Sno-go. I suspect that it was a British order for SA, BUT it could equally be a West Africa, or some other assembly point delivery. Pity there is no plate on the Chevrolet. A SA-assembled truck would have "XG" for the Port Elizabeth Plant of GM South African Pty Limited and then a sequential number.
