It was a first for me too, which is why it stick in my mind and I started hunting after a video still. I'm sorry it is of mediocre quality and does not show the details a restorer like you is after.
While the film was shot by a Canadian Film and Photo unit shooting Canadians in action, the FWD is not necessarily Canadian. It could be attached to the 79th Armoured Division which operated the LVT Buffaloes used by Canadian infantry units. But it still proves an FWD was used by Commonwealth unit in NW Europe!

As an opinion on your efforts: I think you have done a sterling job! Your FWD is a rare bird, restored even more, I hope the people who get to see it in the metal will appreciate it's a rarer than a flying Spitfire. At least your daughter seems to be very enthusiastic about it, which I hope is a sign this FWD has found a place in a loving family for generations to come.
