dave.....you have no idea how bad what i'm about to say hurts.......as far as i know, replica firearms are illegal in canada. i know of one chap who was nearly charged when he displayed a replica he had fabricated. de activated firearms are legal in canada, however, it appears that cock and click is a thing of the past as are removable magazines. it pi@@es me off to no end just thinking about the draconian laws in this country, and i can only hope someday this will be a thing of he past. there a whole lot of reasons why this attitude towards firearms has been adopted, most of which are fubar, and i won't get into it. in the hobby we are in we tend to look at anything related as historical, and definately worth saving. in some cases, be it parts for a vehicle, or a firearm, none exist, and reproduction parts/ assemblies have to be fabricated, because to us, we want as close as possible to historically accurate. unfortunately, there are many people who just don't grasp the concept or signifigance in preserving out heritage...and they currently hold a combined majority in parliament, not to mention the senate. mike
