Found a stray Canadian!!
On my way home last night, I found a Stray Canadian with family here in Limavady. Being inquisitive (a nosy b!""£r in other words), I decided to investigate this appearance of a rare species in this area.
Seriously though, they are on a world tour and were looking for a place to park up for the night. Where they were thinking about would not have been conducive to a good nights rest, the local "misunderstood youth" of the area would probably have performed "Riverdance" on the roof of the camper. My wife and I thought that it was not a good idea.
So, at my wife's suggestion, they were gently sheperded up to my driveway for the night, and must be getting a good rest as it is just after 9.15 am (B.S.T.) and there is no sign of life yet. We both felt happier knowing that a visitor to the Province would not be getting any hassle for at least one night
In case anyone on the Forum knows of them, they are the Reid (Read?) family - Mike, Nancy, Jade, and Dylan from Whitehorse, Yukon. Mike works in Forestry and Nancy is an electrician, the two children are of school age. They bought themselves the camper in Holland and are using it to travel around.
My wife and I are going to take them to a local viewing point, not far from here and then point them in the general direction of where they want to go (wherever that may be!).
Paul.
