I thing it isn“t type Austin 8AP!!! AP and the number is the contract number. I never heare about the Austin 8AP. But is possible I am in mistace.

You will find on the Austin trucks, that the Chassis number plate, is on the chassis below the steering column and also on the cab bulkhead in the engine compartment. I would guess that the car is the same. Your car is definitely an 8AP, I am at present rebuilding an engine and gearbox for one, and have a friend with a restored one.
