The serial number on the tranny of this cab 13 is 3G-7753-F so that makes it a fairly early 1942 model. (March or April?) When did the cab 13 production begin?
The tractor made loading a whole lot easier especially since the steering is seized with the wheels turned. When we towed it out of it's holes one rear wheel turned frontwards and the other turned backwards with the driveshaft not hooked up. When we got it on the trailer and started pushing it to the front, the rear end broke loose and both wheels turned the right way. This truck sat like this since the mid 1960s so a little corrosion set in even in our dry air. The rear tires look OK but the fronts are shot.
The guy that had it in the 60s put the motor in a little Cletrac crawler that's still in town. I'll have to check and see if it was the original engine and maybe talk the present owner out of it.
