Just an update.
The family are now in the Dunkirk area, where the two "sprogs" (no insult intended) are settled for a time.
I have received a couple of very nice e-mails from them, and all seems well with them.
They left here in Northern Ireland after visiting the "Big Smoke" (Belfast) and journeyed through Scotland, eventually reaching Dover and crossing to France.
Mike did express some interest in Military History, so I might just suggest a visit to the Dieppe and Normandy areas, although he has probably already considered that.
Paul.
P.S. Geoff, I have just picked up on something in your message on this post
Seeing as there is only about 33 million of you in an area that is about 35 times bigger than the UK where we have approaching 61 million, may we "re-direct" some of our immigrants in your direction? (Taking cover/evasive action from incoming now, Sir

)
