It is a 16 page document listing all the regiment member who died in wars from 1885 onwards. Quite a lot of Smith's are listed, but under the WORLD WAR II KILLED IN ACTION section I found:
"*RFN SMITH, E. 8/6/44 "
* Murdered in the field as prisoners of war.
This must be your uncle, right?
