There is also one more number located on the piece of angle iron riveted to the division plate. It is on the left side, just behind the codrivers head.
The 3 serial numbers (hull, carrier body, and serial) will usually be somewhat close to each other. A very early carrier they could be within 10 or so, but as production got underway, the numbers got wider apart. Still, they usually are no more than a few hundred apart.
