When I read through the article I thought that the PC Brigade will have their knickers in knots and will be very noisy about it.
I know that I was surprized and cringed to hear some of how the "discipline" is done

I'm glad I'm too old, and probably too short anyways, to enlist because I'm sure I'd end up blowing it and end up THERE
I do find the article really interesting because who (civis) thinks about the effects on the troops or an operation/mission where every individual has their role/duty planned/necessary for success, when someone blows it somehow and has to be removed ... ouch. Hardline is totally understandable as far as I'm concerned ... lives at stake.
