Default Good Photos David......

The first one..... those shock link rods are an early design....sometimes found on early cab 13.....

...but the last picture...... that beautiful dot & dash floor plate is definitely early cab 11 or 12..... Mike in Kars as an early CGT cab 11 with the same axle BUT with Chev shocks..... never seen the mix of Ford shocks with Chev axle....

In the back cemetery we have a 42 Ford with a Chev/GM cast front axle and we had an early cab 13 we took apart that had the complex rear shock linkages like the ones you are showing and the GM/Chev cast front axle........ on these early cast axles I would expect to find the early RZeppa U Joint inside the eggcup. Fairly easy to check without total disassembly...... remove the cast hub cap and examine the centre of the protruding axle shaft..... if it has a center hole that is threaded.... you have a RZeppa axle.....

Here are similar pictures....assembly pattern...??? of a FGT owned by Stanley Walker....Ford with GM/Chev cast axle and funny Ford friction shocks...

And look at the early cab 11 CGT at Kars and it has the GM/Chev axle with Chev cab 11 small shocks.....and a strange cast rear axle.....

Too bad all this stuff is so far from Ottawa....
