Will try to find some pics soon, but basically the spring bumper, or radiator protector goes behind the bumper on a cab 12 and early cab 13s, being held in place by oddly shaped u bolts which pass through the bumper and hold on the towing 'D's which are in the wrong location on your example. There is also another odd shaped casting which goes between the back of the bumper and the lower bit of the spring bumper as a filler.
