Hello Høimark, greetings and welcome.
I respectfully suggest your carrier is 1944 production date NO.2 MK-II*, (not a UC-2 from 1943). As such, the speedometer drive is taken off the differential extension. Other than feeding through the divisional wall, you will discover all is the same as it would be on the MK-I* hull series as it is for the MK-II* hull series in their assorted stowage configurations.

Marc Van Aalderen may be a good resource to speak to regards your need for the speedometer gear drive if yours is missing. There are a few parts sellers who ‘may’ have the cable cover. The two mounting brackets are basic, fairly straightforward to copy. Perhaps a local to you company can make the drive cable. I believe one forum member in Canada had them made for a reasonable price.
