Default 3bz

Ah the 3BZ. I used one of those when I first got a ham license, I paid $30 for it . I had three of them. The 3BZ was manufactured during the war and post war as well.

The earlier and rare 3B transmitter is the set the coast watchers actually used during the early war years . There was a matching speaker box with a large AWA logo on the front of the grill.

Not the ideal setup for lugging around the jungle , very bulky and heavy. The coast watchers used native porters to carry all the stuff, batteries and all the rest of it. A few of the coast watchers were betrayed by the natives and lost their heads with the typical Japanese execution ritual.
