Indeed, not all M10s had the mounting bracket for the M12 panoramic telescope. The dial sight was only for indirect fire and whilst some 17 pdr towed guns were modified late war to allow the carriage of them, they were only for indirect fire which is not the principle job of an anti tank gun.
