Hello Lynn thanks for dropping in with this info along with clearing up the track detail - yes it was the guide teeth that was set a bit further apart to accept thicker wheels. Still muddy though are the outer diameters of the rubber and drive sprocket for both the carrier and VLT MkVI.

Have searched the forums a bit more and read that for the standard carrier the thickness was 2 and 1/2 inches so that must mean the thicker wheels became 3 inches.

Carrier bogies were outer diameter of 20 inches but the last or third wheel was a bit smaller at 19 inches - why? Have not found anything about the light tank. I know you mentioned bearing sizes were the same but does that automatically mean the outer diameters of the rubbers would be the same too?
