Unless you have gone over to an aftermarket ignition system, I would suggest you stick with 7mm solid core wires. The 8mm wires with carbon core are a bit challenging to the older points style ignition system. I cannot count how many vehicles at the museum that I have infinitely improved by getting rid of the carbon core wires others have installed and gone to the simple wire core.



Personally, I buy the wire in bulk along with the terminals and boots from NAPA, and custom make the wires. They also have wire sets that are partly done, but you cut them to length and add the ends. There are proper terminal crimpers that save the headache of having the ends come off when you pull them.
