Welcome to MLU and congratulations on buying that F15A! I recall
seeing it for sale onMilWeb, and am happy to see it found a home at a MLU member.
Re. colours, not sure about the primer used during WW2. One option was that the chassis and drive train were painted black, then sprayed in a topcoat as per army contracts. By the time your type of truck was built, the standard colour was Khaki Green No. 3. Read more details in
