Default Abbottsford Ferret

A question for you Ferret guys.

In Sept 1996 the ramp-side coffee shop opened under new ownership at Abbottsford airport.
It was decided to mark the occasion with a small display of vintage aircraft by those who frequented the place...
Somebody extended the invitation to some local Mil. Vehicle types and this really fine Ferret turned up.

Recent posts on MLU about what makes a Cdn. Ferret... got me wondering about this one.

Can you tell me what mark is it..?. and was it CF. ?

The plane is a restored 1942 Stinson L5 "Sentinal"... army observation aircraft used for Arty spotting by the Americans and the RAF....in nasty jungle locations.

Flew for many years out of Langley BC airport...now resides in California.

A pair of yellow Piper Cubs turned up...The standard Cub on the right...and the wartime Arty Spotting version on the left.

On that note...is the Ferret still in the Lower Mainland.. ?
Whom ever the owner was ...he did a really fine job...Never did get his name.

Anyone recognize the blue mutt....behind the little miss..She'd be in her early 20's now.

Dennis.
