Sure is tragic. Lots of publicity about avalanche dangers right now too, which many people just ignore and go out of bounds areas on purpose "It can't happen to me" ... yeah, it can happen to you
In BC sometimes I read stories about the authorities going after the people they "rescue" to recover the expenses of the rescue operations and all, when the rescued one/s has knowingly ignored known warnings and signs and gets in trouble and has to be rescued, at fault. Sounds a totally reasonable to me!
