Looks original, clean the grime off the "Umbrella", you should find a script "Ford" or "F".

Ford made 2 lengths of fuel pump pushrod for the 1933-1948 engines: 48-9400-A was 8 7/8" long and was for Cast Iron inlet manifolds, while 48-9400-B was 7 7/8" long for Aluminium manifolds.

These were usually a one piece rod, but at some point (??) they changed to a 2 piece design like yours with a short extension or long extension to make the appropriate length.
