Thanks Bob,
The flood waters are slowly receeding. Here at Paynesville we live on the waters edge and are more affected by the Gippsland Lakes. These lakes get their water from 7 rivers and only empty into the ocean at one point, Lakes Entrance. The king tides being experienced at this time mean the water banks up and we suffer in Paynesville. My place is OK as we are on a bit of a noll (about 1.3m) and therefore we don't get wet feet. Jills house is a lot lower and at the peak it was over the garden and only 600mm. from her house.Still can't get to her place and may not be able to for a couple of weeks. About 100 houses isolated in the town at present. We're OK.This is the highest in living memory and because of the layout of the lake system, it would not get much worse.

Thanks Rick and Jill

Jills house is the one on the right with the for sale sign.
