When I and a G/F were on a beach in Formentera, Balearic Islands of Spain, Med., it was once 108 F. That would be early 1980s...and since then it has snowed on the islands in winter!
I gather that in Scotland it has been up to 15 C in January, and down to -27 C, the lowest British temp.

We're heading for a top of 111F in Melbourne tomorrow, and being a Saturday I'll be out working on Chris' blitz. In parts of outback Aust it gets into the 50s C, or more than 122 or so F. But who's boasting!
