Dear All,

I have started trying to organise a military vehicle component to the existing event that happens on Wolfe Island, which is in the St Lawrence River just off Kingston.

I will be posting more information in September when I have made a recce to the site to see what space there is for us.

While there is no parade through town, there is ample opportunity for a show and tell kind of event after the ceremony.

There is also the added attraction that they serve a lunch.

We will obviously have to cross over to the island in preparation and I will be making enquiries with the Ferry about a block booking in case we get a lot of traffic that day.

I know it will be a great photo opportunity on the crossing.

Some people wont need to cross by the ferry as they already live on Wolfe. On the other hand folks like me will have to cross over to the mainland from Howe Island on that ferry and transit down hwy 2 west to Kingston and then line up and board the Wolfe Island Ferry, and then repeat backwards going home.

Unless we can get a landing craft, and yes I have a lead on one . . .
