i heard about the tank several years ago but did nothing about it until the issue was brought up again on another forum. i decided i should go down and have a look.
i contacted the vineyard and they seemed keen to help, so in january i went down with my labourers and found the tank quite quickly using a proton magnetometer. we had really good info on it's possible location from the vineyard owner and ian hughes (who had also surveyed the site 12 years ago but didn't dig a test pit to confirm the presence of the tank)

the vineyard were keen to publicise the event and sent a film guy down to record it.
