Canadian Census numbers

Gord Crossley from the FGH sent me a copy of a vehicle return list from just after the war.
ALL of the census numbers had the 'C' prefix, which suprized me.
Unfortunately, it lists the vehicles without mention of squadron assignent.
Most Canadian tanks in all theatres and a lot of the Canadian vehicles of all types in Italy did not have the 'C' prefix.
