If the cable above is otherwise (except for length) suitable, look for a company that manufactures control cables. When I wanted to shorten cables for the 15 cwt CMP trailer I used Aircraft Spruce
https://www.aircraftspruce.com/categ.../controls.html and they were able to cut the existing cable assembly to the length I specified and swage a new ball onto the end. Naturally, if you can find a closer supplier the shipping won't hurt as much. Nothing done to aviation standards is cheap but....
