Tom , i dont have my originals (on loan) and I dont know if I have the lengths bang on, but on one side, the front goes into the cam plate cover. Not sure what hapens on the other side. I folded a channel and then with a frame made from 2 bits of angle, I pressed my round crowbar into the flat center. This gave me an inside dia of about 29mm and a height from the floor of about 30mm.
The short one is 460 long and the long one is 604mm. The back end of them stops under the rear bogie frames. The flanges are about 17- 18mm wide and I think the flat center was about 76mm wide. so cut your material at about 110mm wide. try a test piece. I used 2mm which is probably heavier than original.
