Default Question about AEDB files / Valentines

Hey all,

I have been trying to turn over stones (so to speak) related to Canadian Valentine tank development starting from the entry in Design Record - Canadian-Developed Military Vehicles:

So what I have found from the Design Record are:
- DND discussions I think are in the archives
- the Field Trial Reports, whether we had copies are not I don't know, but they are at Kew in England and I'm going to be getting copies made. (I haven't found them at LAC)
- there are a lot of Camp Shilo cold weather test files at LAC but I don't see any for Kapuskasing
- the Design Changes etc are apparently lost

(1) Since 2010, have any lost Army Engineering Design Board files resurfaced in the archives? (I'm referring to the discussion about Rams here: http://www.mapleleafup.net/forums/sh...ad.php?t=14485)

Given that I can't find anything at LAC, I am guessing no.

(2) Someone mentioned seeing actual files of lots of photos of Rams, Valentines, etc at CWMRC. However I haven't been able to find these in their catalogue. I visited CWMRC earlier in the month and did look at a number of individual Valentine photos.

Has anyone seen these "files of photos" and know how they might be filed in the catalogue?

Chris
