Everyone was making stuff for the war effort so it's not a surprise to see small runs of parts made by companies not normally affiliated with the specific manufacturing arena. Singer (sewing machines) made the early British cruciform spike bayonets for the Number 4 Mark I Enfields. And I've got a nice British Number 77 White Phosphorous smoke grenade that was made by General Electric. Has their nice script GE in the circle logo.

For the track links, might be IH's foundry was a subcontractor for Ford.
