This is an initial heads up and call-out to all vintage military vehicle owners and WW2 Commonwealth re-enactors interested in participating in this years Ottawa Tulip Festival Parade (10 May). The Tulip Festival organizers are very keen to re-connect the festival with its historical roots. This will be a big event, and an even bigger event next year as it will coincide with VE+70. They are looking for predominately WW2 allied vehicles but post war MVs are welcome, as are "captured" axis vehicles
as the parade will have a Liberation theme
. The parade will start at the Canadian War Museum and end at Queen Juliana Park, Dows Lake, with the vehicles and other setups on display at this location following the parade. The standard questions have been put forth to the organisers wrt parking, lunch, camping, gas money etc. Further details will be posted here as they become available.
