Great photos showing differences..helpful to many I think so thanks !
Also great stories which explains perhaps why this was /is an NOS item never used.

I bought it never intending to actually use it, but as an accessory for display, (but again never did)
Still, it obviously could be of use for someone going off road, or for display...
I know some hate the Iltis, but i've really enjoyed driving it around in the nice summer weather, and I like the ability to go highway speed if needed. (seldom in my case although i did drive the 401 with no problem at all in the couple hundred km from Montreal to Gananoque, where it spends its life now.

It's really quite cool to drive something so incredibly basic (as are all jeeps) compared to the pushbutton, computerised, automatic, touch screen even self driving things of today.
You really do have to know how to drive these old vehicles.
When I see some of the driving schools today (with EVs no less) and how they seem to be teaching new drivers...sheesh.


PS are those 2 antennas on the front of the Iltis? One i guess HF? the other?
