Dave, I respectfully disagree. Only US vehicles which had undergone major modifications - like the Sherman Crab or Firefly - were likely candidates to be repainted in Commonwealth colours. This would certainly not apply to "a lot" of vehicles. If anything, SCC15 Olive Drab would be used, not the colours you mention. Read up on the subject of British AFV Camouflage at http://www.mafva.com/resources.asp. Mike Starmer is an authority on this subject, whereas veterans are - again respectfully - not.
