Default No that is a coolent recover tank.

Hi

I'll scan and post the entire winter kit manual and post it on my site I've got plenty of space.

The tank shown on the bonnet is a coolant recovery tank which was mounted on the left front of the bonnet on Pattern 12 and Early Pattern 13 Chevys. Meant to recover the water that is forced out of the radiator and engine as the engine heats up, designed so that the water is drawn back into the radiator when the engine cools. Very important that the cap and all the connections are leak free so that this will work correctly.

This tank was later relocated under the passenger foot well, the bonnet location was subject to a lot of damage which caused leaks.

I'll try and find better pictures of the oil filter locations.
