HI everyone
I just got my headlamps for the Carrier the other day and now I have some questions.
First
On one of the reflectors half of it has been painted black while on the other one it is chrome. Was this do do with black out lights? The half moon blackout covers. How common were they? Ive really only seen them on early CMP's
Second
In the parts manual it shows both the CDN and British lamps having two light sockets. Both of these only have one. Was the second socket and bulb just kept inside the housing as a ready spare or was there a second hole on some reflectors?
Third
Inside the housing where the terminal strip attaches there is 3 letters stamped in the metal. "B G P". Each one of these letters has a corresponding hookup on the terminal strip. What do they stand for. I was thinking that it may be "Both" "Ground" "Power"
On one of the terminal strips there was a wire screwed to left mounting screw. What would this have gone to. Was it for a grounding?
