Trying not to deviate from the subject of this thread, but as you brought up the Vimy, I thought I should share this photo. Back in the 90's an American businessman built a replica of the Vickers Vimy and re-enacted the flight from England to Australia, the co-pilot was forum member Lang Kidby. About 15 years ago I restored a military vehicle for the Vimy's owner and he visited my workshop once by flying the Vimy in to a nearby landing strip. This photo is as they arrived. A massive aircraft for its time.
