Default Ferret troubles

Hi Robin,

Thanks very much for your interest and help. At this time, I could use what-ever assistance you could provide (in looking for parts, etc), as I'm not having too much luck. We've already purchased an overhaul kit for the Master Brake Cylinder and done the refit with new seals and re-installed it, but it looks like it's too far gone, as after spending the better part of 2 hours bleeding the brakes, it looks like there's a brake fuid by-pass occuring inside the master cylinder, so we either have to locate a new or re-built one. Can you point me in the right direction for a source?

As for parts to trade/sell etc, the museum here is a small one, located in an Cdn Army Reserve unit drill hall facility (and a part of this unit), so we don't have anything to trade. As for the vehicle's history, as I understand it - it's an ex British Army vehicle that was turned over to the Canadian Army during the initial UN deployment to Cyprus in 1964 - it's a Mk 2/3, which we didn't purchase, as ours were to Mk 1 Liaison Vehicle without the Turret. I'll confirm the vehicle numbers and get back to you on which one we have.

As for the machine shop that reworks the master cylinder in stainles, if you could provide me with a contact (or a source for one that's available for purchase, that would be much appreciated.

Now we have to sort out an electrical issue, as the beast won't start, and we think there's a short somewhere in the starting system.

Cheers,

Chris Preston,
