The speedometer shaft was supplied as an assembly with the inner and outer parts. Canadian speedometer shafts and casing assemblies replaced the UK Type Y, although the inner remained the same length, 10’ 3”.

The Canadian shaft and casing assembly for the three bogie wheel hull models is P/N C01UC-106014-B.

There were two Canadian speedometer types, identified by the change in their dial and pointer. The early model dial is observed with white markings on a black background, the later model, usually called the MK-II* speedometer, had a two tone white and black dial, white pointer showing a red tip. See part numbers C01UC-106001-C for the speedometer assembly, along with 106106 B, and 106107 B for the dial and pointer.
