Hello Hanno
From my reading I think they slept in a slit or under the truck, or both, no?

I've been working on collecting all the items for the 12 Installation Kits for a Wireless Set No. 52 Canadian. Have most of it, but one of the Kits that is missing is most of Kit No.6 Tent Kit.
In the WS52 manual it lists Tents Wireless Station, Holdalls (the orange bag posted above), pegs, lines, etc.
The tent dimensions are listed, Table XVIII P154
Length 7 ft.
Width 8 ft. 6 in.
Height, ridge to floor 6 ft. 6 in.
Height of wall 3 ft. 4 in.

There is no ZA number listed, but under 'MFG. or Part DWG. NO.' is
CMC 108-062

Original kit would have been Canadian issue, therefore 'orange canvas'.
I was aware of Manitoba Tent and Awning, nice lead on Woods Manufacturing.
There is little on the web about WW2 tents let alone Canadian ones, I've even searched Scout Canvas, nothing................. yet.

Hope this helps.

Geoff

PS The Canadian Orange Canvas would lighten considerably after prolonged use.
