I know a fraction of the Stag stories. Here are both.

In the 70s I corresponded with Denis Payer in St Hubert. If memory serves, he lived on Montgomery Street. He'd found a Stag in a scrapyard in Napierville. It had a bunch of aircraft .50cal receivers with the barrel jacket deep down in the bottom, and I handled one. He also had an Otter that the OntRs rebuilt. The volunteer cleaners and painters had their names on one of the doors.

The second story might be closer to your photos' truth. The Royal Canadian Hussars had some Stags on Ste Helene's Island before Expo changed everything. If you were to research those serial numbers against the RCH's holdings, you might find a connect. If memory serves, the Sherbrooke Regiment and Regiment de Hull had Shermans. No idea what was in Trois Rivieres. The 7th/11th Hussars were issued 3/4s not armour.
