Hi Alan,
I did check out some of the photos ... not all though. I'm always looking to see any CANADIANS in Normandy from D-Day to June 8th especially, since I'm ALWAYS still hoping to come across a surprize photo or more with my Uncle Ed or my Uncle Philip. If you've read any of my threads about my relatives, then you'll know that Uncle Philip Genaille was wounded on D-Day and died of his wounds, and Uncle Edward Smith was executed as a POW with a group of Canadian POWS on June 8th. Both Uncles were riflemen with the Royal Winnipeg Rifles. I never give up hope of some photos surfacing so I always check photos and links that people post in MLU ![]() ![]() Karmen |

G'day All, Yes I have had a look at all the pix, some excellent photo's in that collection, showing the destruction caused by war losses on both sides and civilians and animals. The pix of the repair yards and auto jumbles, tyre dumps, fuel dumps it's mind boggling. A few pix of CMP's in the background also a Carrier passing a knocked out Stug, allow yourself about 2 1/2 hours to look at them and more if you enlarge them, but well worth the time cheers Dennis

Great D-Day to be found on flickr.com. These are mostly Canadian and there are thousands of them.
D-day, Vehicles, Armour, people, wrecked towns and much, much more. www.flickr.com/photos/photosnormandie/ Enjoy, Rick

Thanks Hanno,
I thought there would have been someone else who would have found them before me. Better twice than not at all. Great photos though. Rick

Hi All
Yes, thanks for post a reminder to visit this site, because other wise I might not have found the enlargement obviously click on the small image to go to the larger then look at the enlargement logo (all sizes) upper left of the image click on that then look at the image size listing and click on original. Some of these images are huge and the detail that comes out is amazing. Cheers Phil

... if you're tired clicking on every pic to see the full size, just download it with FlickrDown. The program downloads all or a selection of images in the original resolution to your pc. It's much more comfortable to watch the pics on your pc, although the accompanying text is missing.
