Default WW1 medals query

My grandfather serverved from 1916-198 with the CEF as a bugler. He signed up in Port Moody BC with what eventaully became the Royal Westminster Regiment. He passed away a number of years ago and his medals have been lost. His daughter, my mother, is going to be 80 this year and is still going strong. She still has his uniform jacket and pants.
How would I go about getting his servive history and order reproduction medals? His name was Francis T Appleyard and I have found his Attestation Papers online.
Thanks
Randy
