Hi I am not sure whether this is the correct forum to raise this one but here goes.
I am very interested in gaining information regarding Massey Harris model 80 & 81 tractors which were used by the Royal Canadian Airforce to tow Lancaster Bombers during WW11. Specificly I am hoping to get info on any mods made to the tractors as well as any other info but more importantly would like to get hold of photos showing detail including colour and markings etc. Thanks & Best Regards Bob Kenny |

Hi Bob and welcome. If you don't find the info on this forum I doubt you will. You will find a great bunch of people with a very wide wealth of knowledge.

Hi Euan & Rick
Thanks for the welcome, I was on the forum some years ago but its been some time & Id forgotten my details so it was easier to reregister! Ive been able to get some good help on the subject on G503 but the more info I can get the better as Ive been offered a MH 80R suposedly ex Royal Canadian Air Force and it seems like a worthy project, not that I need any more with the Chev 6 seater Utility (HUP) another salt grill and a willys 47T still to go but you know how it is!!! My main interest in the MH80R is that dad who is still with us was a Pathfinder with 2 and a half tours under his belt in Lancaster Bombers with Bomber Command and flew side by side with a lot of Canadians and the fact is that I cant get a Lancaster into the workshop and it simply wouldnt be proper to leave one outside so, it will have to be a Lanc MH Tug!! If either of you are on Trackers 2010 Ill catch up at Pimpama or next year at Corrowa. Best Regards Bob |
