Default Jeep Markings

Gday all i hope this is the right place to ask this question...A friend found some Unit markings on one of his jeeps and i said i would find out for him what it means ...and i reckon this might be the best place to ask so any replys will be very appreciated thanks in advance mick o btw i did do i search and found this but need to confirm

First photo of the crossed Swords over a Boomerang on a red shield background is of the 1st Infantry Brigade ARA from 1949 to 1960.

2nd photo looks like a white 42 over red & blue horizontal and in 1960 denoted a Field Regiment.

The formation sign was the same as one of the couple of formation signs I found on my FV1600 1 Ton Humber.
