that's one beautiful 12 cab!! it's nice to see some of the earlier trucks restored. i have one of these which i hope to get at this year. by chance would you have some pics of the inside of the cab?

I didn't take any cab shots of this truck but I'll scan and post some of my C30 12cab LAA that's waiting the call.

Wonderful job....... a much needed inspiration for me.

What is the significance of the 3 white letters/ numbers on the front axle????

The numbers are 390 I found them under the civi paint on the front and rear diff cases straight on top of the G3.

I assumed that 390 was perhaps a stores coding for hypoid 90 gear oil but have not ever seen it recorded as such.

Have tried to reduce the photos of my LAA 12 cab panels but the lighting levels are too low to hold any resolution when reduced to 600 pix. If you can hold on a week or so I can take some more in better light levels, what exactly are you interested in seeing ?

Pleased you like the C15A, everything back form the cab is fabricated using original patterns I recon it took me 2350 hours of work spread over five years. This truck came as a complete kit of individual component parts. The previous owner had taken it all apart and stored it in his cellar

I'll find a picture I took at the start of the project

Having seen it in the metal, I can vouch these pictures do not do justice to the quality of Pete's restoration. This C15A is simply superb and you guys in Canada will have a hard time matching this - keep at it, tough!

I say McSpool do spare a chaps blushes !! but most kind of you to say so Old Boy.

Patience, research, imagination, vision, and basic technical skill, no different skills than our modelling friends apply it's just that we do it with nuts, bolts, sand blaster and welder. Out of all of those skills I rate vision as one of the highest, you have to know what you want to achieve as the end product, then don't settle for anything less

That’s enough of all that old bunk, would anyone like to see some pictures of my son David's Dodge WK60 project ? it had a rather nice arboreal feature when we found it

Indeed I did, two of my own a late 1942 Ford GPW Reg No BFF 325 (anyone know where it is now I really would love to find it again) and a late 1943 Willys MB Reg No JE9481 and five others that I’ve done for other people over the years. I have to admit that there is a bit of me that still hankers after a nice Canadian marked GPW. Slight pause while I go and beat myself with a towel dipped in gearbox oil ........the madness will pass in a minute or two....

That well known Senior member of the OCMPG Nigel Dawe ex owner F8 11 cab FFW and Part Time Gentleman has been lurking around the forum and seen the posts here, he has come up trumps with some clandestine shots he took a few years ago of the inside of my C15A one here and the other side to follow.

thanks for sharing the pics...it seems like the hardest pics to find reference of the 11/12 cabs are interrior shots. btw, pete, my truck looks like the shot of your apart but with more rust. thank you again, and what a beaut!!

In that case, what about a Canadian contract Jeep? I'm sure everybody in here would love to see one of those properly restored and marked (instead of the dreaded 82AB livery!).
