Hi Guys
I have been a MLU member for only 4 years and restored a 1942 MB Willys Jeep. This I did as part of "Keeping" busy in my retirement. I have received so much help from MLU members over the years with my restoration project named "Little Jo" and I can't thank you guys enough for all your support and assistance. I have had some great times with my Jeep and have loved every minute. But as sad as it is I had to make a decision to sell due to ongoing back and knee problems, I have found it increasingly more difficult to get in and out of the Jeep and soon realised I needed something larger and more comfortable, so I reluctantly put my Jeep up for sale and It was sold in a within a week. My Jeep is leaving South Australia to a new good home in New South Wales. I have now purchased a Land Rover which is easier for me to get in and out of and more comfortable to drive, though I am already feeling the wrath of some club members who refer to Land Rovers as "Land Fill", but I know it is all good natured banter in good fun. I hope, as I do not wish to feel as an outcast because I have moved to a more modern vehicle now when most club members vehicles are WW2 era. however my new vehicle and trailer are still ex Army vehicles. I wonder if any of my fellow MLU members have updated to newer military vehicles successfully. I still love the Jeep and it will be sad to see it loaded onto the car transport at the end of the week for its long journey to the new owner. Cheers Tony ![]()
