US Army signal Corps Desk
Hi,
I have seen one of these for sale and was wondering if anyone can tell me more about it? What was it used for and what radio may have fitted in it? Does anyone have a wartime photo or diagram of it? Thanks in advance Darren

Not radio
I'm reasonably sure it didn't have a radio in it.
I have seen a good few images of these ( none to hand of course .... ) fitted into the boot / trunk of VC and WC half ton Command Cars. You just opened the trunk, pulled the desk out onto the tailgate, pulled up a seat, and you had an instant admin and signals office. I'd think anyone with a half ton Command Car would take that off your hands any day of the week, and reasonably sure it would have been used in many other similar installations - just never seen those in photos.
